Brief Biography of Mr. Md. Hafizur Rahman
Childhood:
The memory of the frontal battle between Isa Khan, one of the leaders of the Baru Bhuiyans of Bengal, and the Mughal general Raja Mansingh is etched in memory; The Kul Bidhaut of the Sutia River and the immortal creation of the village poet Jasim Uddin, ‘Asmani’, mentioned in the poem ‘Asmani’, on March 1, 1971 (16th day of the month of Falgun in the Bengali year 1377), in the Rasulpur village of Gafargaon police station of Mymensingh district, on a beautiful spring day, Mr. Md. Hafizur Rahman, the head of the Netrokona judiciary, a symbol of justice, beloved and respected by everyone, came to the earth. On that day, even the sound of the cuckoo’s kuhu kuhu gave way to the sweet sound of the little child’s heart-rending cry. Father, late Abdul Khalek Akand, and mother, deceased. All the family's relatives, including Ms. Fazila Khatun, were swept away in a wave of joy.
Educational Career:
He passed the Alim examination in 1985 from 'Khodaboxpur Fazil Senior Madrasa' with 'Second Division', and he passed the Alim examination in 1987 from 'Khodaboxpur Fazil Senior Madrasa' with 'First Division'. In 1991, he obtained the L.L.B. (Hons.) degree from 'Islami University' with 'Second Division'.
Career:
He joined the Kishoreganj District Judge's Court as an 'Assistant Judge' on 24/06/1998. He also served as an 'Assistant Judge' in the Sylhet District Judge's Court from 30/03/2002 to 25/07/2004, as a 'Senior Assistant Judge' from 25/07/2004 to 16/02/2006,' in the Chittagong District Judge's Court from 01/03/2006 to 01/11/2007, as a 'Metropolitan Magistrate' in the Chittagong Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court from 01/11/2007 to 07/08/2008, as a 'Joint District and Sessions Judge' from 07/08/2008 to 31/05/2001, and as a 'Joint District and Sessions Judge' in the Chittagong District Judge's Court from 10/06/2001. Up to 30/04/2012, he was an 'Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate' in the Gazipur Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court, from 30/04/2012 to 30/08/2014, he was an 'Additional District and Sessions Judge' in the Jamalpur District Judge's Court, from 30/08/2014 to 09/04/2017, he was an 'Additional District and Sessions Judge' in the Bogra District Judge's Court, from 10/04/2017 to 19/10/2017, he was an 'Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge' in the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court, from 22/10/2017 to 11/09/2018, he was an 'Additional District and Sessions Judge' in the Bagerhat District Judge's Court, from 12/09/2018 From 27/10/2022 to 27/10/2022, he served as 'Judge (District Judge), Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal' in Barguna Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal, and from 30/10/2022 to 03/09/2024, he served as 'Judge (District Judge), Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal' in Faridpur Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal. He served as a 'District and Sessions Judge' in the District Judge Court of Netrokona from 04/09/2024 to 28/08/2025. He has currently joined as a District and Sessions Judge of Tangail (from 7/09/2025) and has been serving successfully till date. He is a member of the 14th batch of the BCS (Judiciary). His Service ID Number is 1998118147.
Training:
He attended the ‘12th Basic Training Course’ under the Judicial Administration Training Institute in 1999, the ‘24th Basic Training Course’ under the ICHAI in the same year, the ‘27th In-Service Course’ in 2001, and ‘ADR Training’ at the British Council, BRAC, CDM, Gazipur. He also attended a training course in India.
Foreign Travel:
He has traveled to various countries during his educational and working life. Notable among them are Saudi Arabia and India.
